The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course takes your diving to the next level. With NexGen Divers in Hurghada you train in the open water of the Red Sea with a PADI instructor, building skills such as deep diving and underwater navigation.
Who it suits
Open Water Divers who want to dive deeper, gain experience and dive with more confidence. Divers aged 12-14 earn the Junior Advanced Open Water card and are limited to 21 metres.
Prerequisites
- Minimum age: 12 years or older
- Open Water Diver / Junior Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification)
How the course works
The course is done in two stages, theory and practical:
- Theory: e-learning lectures and exams online. Time commitment: 6-8 hours.
- Practical: 5 adventure dives (Deep, Underwater Navigation, Night, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Boat) during 2 days of practical training at our dive centre.
The Deep adventure dive takes you below 18 metres, to a maximum of 30.
What you receive
An international PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification that lets you dive all over the world to a maximum depth of 30 metres.
Before you book, download and review the Diver Medical form to check whether you need a physician's approval to dive. This avoids disappointment on the day.
Next steps: the PADI Rescue Diver course or the PADI Deep Diver specialty to 40 metres.
