  5. Prices are in AED for UAE activities and EUR for Red Sea activities.
  6. We accept cash, bank transfer and online card payment. Online card payments carry a 5% charge. Bank transfer charges are borne by the sender.

  9. Special trips (Salem Express, Elphinstone / Al Farsha, Dugong) and transfers to Safaga or Marsa Alam need a minimum of 3 divers.
  10. Technical dive trips follow the recreational trip prices plus the listed tec guide surcharge. Trimix surcharges exclude helium; oxygen, helium, sofnolime and ExtendAir cartridges are charged per unit used.

All bookings

  1. Online payment and processing fees are not refunded in any case.

  3. If we cancel for weather, port authority instructions or safety, we move you to the next available date. If that isn't possible, we refund you.
  4. Special trips run with a minimum of 3 divers. If the minimum isn't reached, we offer you an alternative Hurghada dive option; otherwise, we treat it as our cancellation.
  5. Once your trip or course has started, dives or sessions missed because of seasickness, equalising problems, fitness or not following the briefing are not refunded. Dives we cancel are moved to another day.
  6. Boats depart on schedule. Arriving more than 15 minutes late is treated as a no-show.
  7. Please send changes and cancellations in writing by WhatsApp or email.

3. Courses and certification

Recreational courses

  1. E-learning is a prerequisite of every course and is to be completed before your scheduled start date. Practical training commences only once it is complete.
  2. Please plan to complete your course within 30 days of purchase. Later dates, or extra sessions to reach the course standards, are charged separately.
  3. You invest in training, not a certification card. Certification is awarded only once all course requirements, theory and practical, have been met to standard.

Technical and CCR courses

  1. Your course fee covers the instructor's time only. You pay for training, not a card: certification is earned and not guaranteed.
  2. If you don't meet the standards first time, your instructor sets targeted remediation. Extra practice sessions or dives, with or without your instructor, may be needed. Only candidates who show reckless disregard for the risks of technical diving are deemed unqualified.
  3. A €300 deposit secures your course date. It is non-refundable but can be transferred once, at our discretion.
  4. Courses run with a minimum of one student. Once booked, your course is confirmed.
  5. The instructor fee is €300 per student per day, multiplied by the course's training days.
  6. Where e-learning applies, it is a prerequisite of the course. Practical training commences only once it is complete.
  7. The balance is due 30 days before your course starts. After that date, all fees, including the deposit, are non-refundable.
  8. No refunds for events beyond our control. We will try to complete your training with extra days or a change of location.
  9. E-learning is €150 per course where required. A €50 certification fee applies when no e-learning is needed.
  10. Gas fills (air, helium, deco gases), CCR absorbent and local access fees are billed at cost. You receive a full estimate before paying the deposit.
  11. Every technical and CCR course includes one buffer day free of the €300 instructor fee, for weather or extra practice. Your dive costs on that day (boat, gas, consumables and site access) are still charged. Any further days are charged at the daily instructor rate plus consumables and site access.
  12. Training at our centres (Hurghada, Egypt and Al Fujairah, UAE): no travel, lodging or ground-transport charges. You pay boat fees per our price list; the instructor's transport and dive fees are free.
  13. Training at your location: on top of the fees above, you pay the instructor's airfare and carrier fees (excess baggage, visas), rental car and fuel if needed, lodging (quoted at booking), local charges such as permits, and boat fees for you and the instructor unless the operator waives them. We estimate these in advance.
  14. Bring the required equipment below. Missing or malfunctioning items are rented at our standard rates; rentals are booked in advance and subject to availability.
    • CCR (CCR courses)
    • Sidemount BCD, 2 sidemount regulators, 2 sidemount tank riggings
    • Deco regulator and deco tank rigging: 1 each for Tec 40 and Tec 45; 2 each for Tec Sidemount and Tec 50
    • 2 tec dive computers with the Bühlmann ZHL-16C algorithm
    • 2 masks
    • Orange tec DSMB with steel inflator, on a spool with at least 20% more line than the planned max depth
    • Yellow tec DSMB with steel inflator, on a 30 m spool
    • Diver's notes and wrist slate
    • Compass, if not built into your computer
    • Hand-mounted main light and a backup light
    • Wetsuit or drysuit, and tec fins
  15. Before training starts, you sign the course guide acknowledgment confirming you have read it and raised any concerns with your instructor.
  16. All technical and CCR courses include six months of post-course mentorship with your instructor.
  17. Training days are long, typically from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or later.

All courses

  1. Supervision ratios: up to 8 divers per guide on recreational dives, up to 4 per guide on technical dives.
  2. The diver medical questionnaire and course documentation form part of your course requirements and are to be completed and returned before your start date. Where a physician's approval is required, please secure it in advance of arrival. Training commences only once all documentation is in order.

4. Diver requirements, safety and liability

  1. Medical fitness to dive is a requirement for every diving activity, including dive trips. Arriving unfit to dive is treated as a cancellation under section 2.
  2. Every diver completes the diver medical questionnaire. Where a physician's approval is required, it is to be secured before the activity. We recommend completing the medical questionnaire and liability release well ahead of your first day.
  3. Please do not dive if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, or if you feel unwell or may be contagious.
  4. The standard liability release is to be signed before any activity. An activity without a signed release is forfeited, under the no-show terms in section 2.
  5. Proof of certification is required for every activity. Please bring your certification card and logbook.
  6. You dive within the limits of your certification.
  7. If your last dive was more than 6 months ago, a refresher is required before joining guided dives.
  8. Participants under 18 require the signed consent of a parent or guardian. Minimum ages follow PADI and TDI standards.
  9. Dive insurance that also provides travel cover is strongly recommended for every diver.
  10. Standard safety procedures, including gas analysis, pre-dive checks and checklists, are mandatory before every technical and CCR dive. Divers who have not completed them to standard will not be permitted to dive.
  11. Always follow the safety instructions of our instructors, guides and crew. Guides may change the dive site, shorten or cancel a dive, or decline a diver who is unwell, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or not following the briefing. No refund applies in these cases.
  12. Please allow 24 hours between your last dive and your flight.
  13. Rental equipment is your responsibility from handover to return. Check it before use and report any fault before diving. We may decline personal equipment that appears unsafe.
  14. Lost or damaged rental equipment is invoiced at the current year's retail price from the brand's catalogue.
  15. Boats, transport and accommodation provided by our partners are operated by third parties. Your liability release also covers our partner boats, their captains and crew.
  16. Extreme Watersports and NexGen Divers are not responsible for injury or damage during our activities unless caused by our negligence.
  17. We photograph and film our activities and may use the images on our channels. Your consent is assumed unless you tell us otherwise.

5. General

  1. Paying a deposit confirms that you have read and accept these terms.
  2. Please send any complaint in writing within 14 days of your activity: info@extremesports.ae for UAE activities, info@nexgendivers.com for Red Sea activities.
  3. These terms are governed by the laws of the UAE, and disputes are subject to the courts of Dubai.
  4. If any clause is found invalid, the remaining terms stay in force.
