Your first TDI closed-circuit rebreather course: no-decompression CCR diving to 30 m with air or nitrox diluent. TDI rebreather courses are unit specific. Train with NexGen Divers in Hurghada.
Who it suits
Nitrox divers who want to learn to dive a closed-circuit rebreather within no-stop limits.
Prerequisites
- Minimum age 18.
- TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent.
- 20 logged open water dives.
- Already a CCR diver on another unit? A unit crossover needs 10 CCR dives in the last 12 months.
- Sidemount CCR also needs Sidemount Diver and 10 sidemount dives.
Training
TDI minimum: 60 minutes in confined water and 7 open water dives totalling 420 minutes, over at least 5 days, with 6 hours of academics and a 2-hour workshop.
Our training rebreather
The Dive Rite O2ptima CM clips to the front of your existing harness and is compatible with sidemount, back-mounted doubles or a single tank (Dive Rite). At NexGen we dive it with sidemount cylinders as our open-circuit bailout. It uses Dive Rite's dive/surface valve (DSV) and was not designed for a bailout valve (BOV). Dive Rite rates it to 40 m on air diluent.
